Made specifically for a UK plug socket the 60w 12v AC/DC Power Adapter can turn your LED strip lights like the ones we stock into a simple 'plug 'n play' system.

This CE & RoHS certified adapter is supplied complete with a ‘kettle lead’ measuring 1-metre, together with a further 1-metre length from the adapter to the appliance, making just over two metres when the adapter is factored in.

With its 240v AC input and 12v DC output, it is not compatible with any of our 24v LED strips and it cannot be directly connected to 12v RGB LED Strip Lights. Despite that, any single colour LED strip lights at 12v and all of the LED strip controllers can be connected by using of one of our connectors such as the Quick Connector for AC/DC Power Adapter.

The power adapter is also IP20 rated so it cannot be exposed to any form of water, otherwise it will be cause to fail as it features no resistance. It does however, protect against any solid objects that are 12mm or wider.

Maintaining A Suitable Load For The Power Adapter

The 60w 12v AC/DC Power Adapter comes with a maximum load of 60w (5a) meaning that you can only load a certain amount into the power adapter for it to work efficiently. As each of the strips available have different power ratings, each can run different lengths from the power adapter which can be found below:

• 4.8w/m single colour LED strip light - 12m;
• 7.2w/m single colour and 7.2w RGB LED strip light - 8m;
• 9.6w/m single colour strips - 6m;
• 14.4w/m single colour and 14.4w RGB LED strip light - 4m.

Each of these loads have a small amount taken off of them so the power adapter can run at maximum efficiency (85%-95%).
