NeoTec Short Can Fire Rated Downlight GU10 Tilt - White Description
This Short Can Fire Rated GU10 Downlight - Tilt, from Mirrorstone will prove absolutely ideal for use in rooms where there’s limited recess space into which you can install it.
This is due to its comparatively short ‘can’ or body design length which, at only 80mm, is considerably more truncated than that of the similarly fire-rated Diecast Showerlight GU10 - White.
The front bezel is finished in understated white, so it’ll blend unobtrusively into any room with a similarly-coloured ceiling, but there are also many other considerations when you’re purchasing LED downlights for your home…
The NeoTec line has been fully updated to deliver the absolute best that a downlight can be. With such a sturdy design, these fire rated materials have been streamlined to provide better fire protection, with a stylish appearance that looks great. The design has been revamped to include better heat dissipation, increasing the lifespan of your bulb.
Fire-rated LED downlights are rapidly taking over from their non fire-rated counterparts, as people become more safety-conscious and building regulations grow ever more stringent.
A ceiling’s integrity is lessened by the inclusion of downlights, and it becomes compromised and less fire-retardant as a result. Fire-rated downlights restore this imbalance, and give an extra 90 minutes of protection, which can make all the difference in the event of a fire.
Indeed, the ESC (Electrical Safety Council) now recommends that all newly-built houses that are due to have downlights installed, be fitted with fire-rated models.
In line with this, we include a plethora of other fire-rated GU10 LED downlights in our range.
GU10s – 5-Star Bestsellers!
GU10 LED light bulbs are amongst our very best selling products, and with very good reason. Not only are they available in many different varieties and with different specifications, they’re also incredibly reliable, cost and energy-efficient and versatile to boot!
These temperature options make it possible for you to tailor the mood and light aesthetics of your room perfectly, to your exact specifications and requirements.
For example, many people choose to employ the crisper, more sterile light of the cool white bulb for rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens, whereas the warm white bulbs are more often used for living areas like the bedroom and lounge.
Another decision you’ll want to make is the number of downlights you’re going to require to achieve the optimum illumination for your room.
Whilst it’s true that LED light bulbs will initially cost you slightly more than traditional ones, it’s also a fact that their life expectancy, at 50,000+ hours is considerably longer, so they’ll pay for themselves several times over because of this alone.
Another way they’ll pay you back is by costing so much less to run that their old-school contemporaries. The majority of LED GU10 bulbs require one tenth of the electricity to produce the same Lumens of brightness as halogen and incandescent models!
The Big Light Switch
Alongside the advantage of massive mid and long-term financial savings, comes the fact that switching from fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs to LEDs will also be beneficial to your health.
When you do switch, you’ll notice that LEDs don’t become hot during use, so there’s no chance of being burned by accidentally touching one. They don’t have that awful fast-flickering quality that’s infamous for causing eye-strain and headaches, and they’re completely silent, so no more of that infuriating, omni-directional buzzing noise! Also absent are the potentially cancer-inducing UV rays that old-fashioned bulbs emit.
Unlike fluorescent lights, LEDs don’t require harmful Mercury vapour to produce light, but they are fully recyclable, both of which extrapolate to a much-reduced carbon footprint, and significantly less negative impact upon our environment.
It makes us feel good to help our customers find just the right LED lighting product, but every so often, someone isn’t completely happy with something they’ve bought. This doesn’t have to be the end of the world, because we offer a 28-day home trial on everything we sell.
On this particular Short Can Fire Rated Downlight GU10 Tilt - White, there’s also a 12-month manufacturer’s guarantee to give you additional peace of mind.
