The 24v RGB Colour LED Strip Lights will be backordered until the end of May. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Produce a huge range of effects in a wide range of areas with the Mirrorstone 24v 14.4w/m RGB LED strip light. The massive versatility makes it handy for any domestic or commercial installation as well as offering high usability in design projects.
Due to the nature of them, LED strip lights have the capacity to be installed nearly anywhere. They also come with a standard self-adhesive backing to them to be stuck onto nearly any surface or location. However, please note that the IP67 LED Tape does not come with the 3M Adhesive.
With cutting points at every 100mm, you can get accurate lengths that suit your installation needs.
Did you know that all of our LED Tape is dimmable? Simply use alongside a dimmable driver to alter the brightness!
Please note that all IP67 and IP68 tape comes in lengths of up to 5m max, and will not fit in any of our aluminium profiles.
IP65 tape comes in maximum lengths of up to 25m, and will be soldered tape to tape every 5m for any lengths over 5m. Although 25m lengths are available in this way, there is no guarantee that it can be ran continuously due to power drop. Please get in touch with us if you require further information about this.
IP20 tape may or may not come soldered tape to tape, as this depends on how it arrives to us from our suppliers.

Waterproof Your LED Strip Lights For Complete Installation Opportunities
As LED strip lights are highly versatile and useful for both internal and external use, they are available in a variety of IP ratings for maximum versatility. Along with our 24v single colour LED strip lights, the 24v RGB LED stris are available in both IP20 and IP65.
Offering no protection to water, IP20 LED strip lights should be installed where water has no chance of getting to the strip light.
With a small layer of silicone around the LED strips, IP65 version offer protection against splashes and jets of water. Advice for IP65 Rated strip lights is for them to be installed in bathrooms or externally away from direct water.
The IP Rating of LED strips also affects the lengths that they are available in. IP20 ones come in maximum lengths of up to 10m, while IP65s are available in max lengths of up to 5m. All tape is charged by the metre though - when filling in the quantity box at the top of the page, please round up to the nearest metre.
Bespoke Cutting Service
As the strip lights can be cut down to lengths every 100mm we offer a cutting service where we can cut them down to size. If you specify the lengths that you need then our in-house cutting and soldering team will make them up to the lengths that you need.
On top of this, we can also extend the tails of the LED strip lights with 4 Core Cable.
All LED Tape is priced per metre. If you purchase any amount of LED strip lights then we will send it out as one full, uninterrupted length e.g. 1 x 3m rather than 3 x 1m.
Bring Your Strips To Life And Conjure A Wide Range Of Effects
Our power supplies do not have the function to control the colour and setting of the RGB strips so you will require an RGB controller.
We have a range of RGB controllers for these types of LED strips available in Infrared (IR) and Radio Frequency (RF). The two types differ by the fact that the IR controller requires a direct line of sight for changing colour whereas RF controllers don't require any line of sight. If you are looking to install the RGB strip lights domestically then one of the IR or RF controllers would be most advisable due to their simplicity.
If you are looking for a larger, commercial installation then our zonal controllers and DMX Lighting Control System would be a more suitable selection. With its higher maximum loads and the option of having multiple receivers they work very similar to domestic controllers but are capable of large scale projects.
All controllers have the options of changing the colours and their brightness as well as setting one of a host of modes and changing the speed.
The LEDs that are used on RGB strip lights use a mixture of Red, Green and Blue light to create a full colour spectrum including White. Controllers such as our RGB Colour Touch Controller can achieve this full colour spectrum due to its colour wheel whereas our 20 Key RF RGB Controller can get up to 8 different colours and 6 modes.
Wholesale LED Lights recommend:
Control your RGB LED Strip Light from your wall with an RGB Smart Wireless Wall Plate.
Despite being able to be dimmed from the controller, you will not need to purchase a dimmable LED driver as this will nullify all of the controllers functions.
As LED strips can run up to 10m in on length, our drivers come with a wide range of maximum loads to account for a wide range of lengths. Our controllers also have a varying amount of maximum loads from 72w up to 288w. The list below has notable lengths of strip lights and the power that they will be using:
1 Metre - 14.4 Watts;
3 metres - 43.2 Watts;
5 metres - 72 Watts;
10 metres - 144 Watts;
15 Metres - 216 Watts.
With these products, you are looking to run about 10% under the maximum load of the units to maximise heat management, efficiency and lifespan.
An All Round Look That Can Maximise Lifespan
With an expected lifespan of 50,000 hours, LED strip lights can last for up to 15 years. Their lifespan can be influenced by a wide range of conditions. These conditions are noted in the table below:
Lifespan strengthening installation conditions
Lifespan damaging installation conditions
LED strip lights that have cool air circulation will have help them maintain a sufficient lifespan.
Warm air circulation will cause a reduced lifespan of LED strips.
LED strip lights that have been mounted onto a surface that dissipates heat effectively can help extend the life of the strips. A good surface for heat dissipation would be aluminium.
Surfaces which dissipate heat poorly such as wood can cause the strips to heat up to high temperatures and cause early failure.
Using IP ratings when only necessary.
Excessive use of IP Ratings, causing the silicone to hold in excess heat.
If you can meet all of these positive conditions the lifespan can be extended by up to 50% to 75,000 hours.
To help you benefit from the lifespan extension you can purchase one of our range of Aluminium profiles for LED strip lights. The aluminium is very efficient at dissipating heat causing their lifespan to increase. The profiles can also help make a complete look to your installation with the availability of Frosted and Clear diffusers.
Please be aware that any IP65 Rated LED strips installed without a profile are not covered by any warranty. Replacements are charged at 50% when bought with aluminium profiles.
