Digital Pixel Tape LED DMX Driver (12V) Description

Take your pixel tape installation to a whole new level with our powerful and compact 12V Digital Pixel Tape LED DMX Driver.

It works in a largely different way to other strip light controllers, in that it doesn’t come with a conventional controller or wall plate.

Instead, it connects to your computer, from which you can use specialised software to control what your pixel tape does! This gives you massive potential in terms of effects. Users who are more tech savvy can even go as far as to write their own software and create their own modes and effects!

As standard though, this driver gives you the opportunity to use different modes, including full pixel mapping and 24 channel macro mode, ensuring that your installation gives you everything you need.

A few other important features include:

- Creating colour flow along the strip

- Steel 1.2mm construction with powder coating

- Slimline and lightweight


- 256 grey scale for dimming

- 4 Digit display

- Power balance mode

At a relatively small 180mm x 120mm x 44mm, it remains compact enough to stay hidden away, giving you a clean and tidy finish to your Pixel Tape set-up.

Finish Your Setup

In order to be able to use our featured driver, it must be connected to a computer, which then serves as the controller.

The bridge between the driver and your machine is our DMX USB Pro With Software, and is a key part of the overall setup.

On one end, it connects to your driver, and on the other end, it connects to your computer via USB connection. From here, the supplied software gives you control of your pixel tape.

Speaking of which, our RGB LED Pixel Tape is the only tape that will work with our featured driver. It uses 7.2W per metre, and emits 510 lumens of RGB light.

The main difference between this and other kinds of strip light are that each LED is individually addressable, allowing you to create effects like chasing and multi-colour which isn’t possible with normal RGB tape.
