Ditch your fluorescents and replace it with our energy efficient 24W Square Surface Mount LED Panel light. Built by Mirrorstone Lighting, it shines with a super bright 2000 lumens – that will rival some floodlights for overall performance.
It does this using just 24W. An equivalent light of equal brightness would use 120W – that’s 5 times as much power! It has other practical assets too – at just 300 x 300 x 40mm it doesn’t take up too much room, allowing space for more lights.
IP44 ratings allow for this panel light to be used in commercial areas where there might be moisture – restaurant kitchens or communal toilets for example. This is because it can withstand foreign bodies larger than 1mm, and is splash proof from water coming from any direction.
It’s convenient too as it is designed to install onto your ceiling even if you can’t recess it. Once it is fitted, the 120o beam angle and a colour rendering index (CRI) of over 80 mean that it gives you the very best quality of light that is distributed across a wide area.
The Omneticgeneration has had some serious upgrades to their design. With greater energy-efficiency than ever before, these panel lights generate far more light for their energy usage. With a more efficient creative internal design, these panel lights leave much more room for airflow, ensuring better heat dissipation.
Customising Your Panel Light
Before you buy your panel light, there are a couple of options you’ll have to cater it just for your needs.
One of these is whether you want dimmable light or not – which allows you to alter the brightness at any time. This not only gives you flexibility, but it also lets you save electricity too.
You should know though that in order to use dimmable LEDs, you will need a trailing edge dimmer. Using a leading edge dimmer – the type you would find in most homes – might not work and could even damage the bulbs in a worst case scenario.
The other choice you’ll have is what kind of colour temperature you would like. Colour temperature is measured in Kelvins, and is essentially the perceived warmth of a light quantified into a value.
You’ll have 2 options – warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K). Warm white is very similar to traditional halogens, and helps create a cosy atmosphere. This makes it great to use in places like the living room or bedroom.
Cool white on the other hand is far brighter and shines with an icier shade. This is better suited for areas that need to be well lit such as the office or warehouse.
Depending on where you need to use your panel light, 2000 lumens might not be the right amount of light – perhaps you need more or maybe it is excessive. Whichever position you might find yourself in, we’ve got something for you.
Smaller areas may benefit from our 12W Square Surface Mount LED Panel Light. In terms of raw specs, it halves the performance of our featured product, operating at 24W and shining with 1200 lumens. It has a smaller size as a result, but still comes with the same customisable options as its 24W version.
At the other end of the scale, we have our 72W LED Panel Light. With behemoth like performance, it’s perfect for much larger areas that have a lot of open space. It uses 72W but has a maximum brightness of 5500 lumens – more than doubling the output of our featured panel light.

We’ve already mentioned how much more efficient LEDs are. This is because of how much smarter they are with how they use the electricity that you pay for.
LEDs convert 90% of their energy to actual light, with the remaining 10% lost to heat. Compare this to halogens – which only manage to use around 20% of their energy to provide light. This means up to 80% is lost to heat!
Of course this means that LEDs use substantially less energy, so less fossil fuels are burned as a result.
Just imagine the impact on the environment is everyone started using LEDs?
They’re also far easier to recycle too as they don’t contain any dangerous chemicals inside them. Fluorescent lights on the other hand contain Mercury vapour.
This is really bad for you if it leaks, and can damage your brain, immune system and internal organs. It’s even worse for wider natural ecosystems.
You don’t have to worry about this with LEDs, as they’re completely safe to use and won’t cause any damage to you or the environment.
