As LED strip lights have the properties to be installed nearly anywhere, they come with a self adhesive back so they can be stuck onto nearly any surface and location. Due to the wide range of surfaces that the LED Strip Lights are stuck to, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the adhesive on all surfaces. Also, please note that the IP67 LED Tape does not come with the 3M Adhesive. The strip lights are also able to be cut every 50mm so they can be shortened to very accurate lengths.
Did you know that all of our LED Tape is dimmable? Simply use alongside a dimmable driver to alter the brightness!
Please note that all IP67 and IP68 tape comes in lengths of up to 5m max, and will not fit in any of our aluminium profiles.
IP65 tape comes in maximum lengths of up to 25m, and will be soldered tape to tape every 5m for any lengths over 5m. Although 25m lengths are available in this way, there is no guarantee that it can be ran continuously due to power drop. Please get in touch with us if you require further information about this.
IP20 tape may or may not come soldered tape to tape, as this depends on how it arrives to us from our suppliers.

The brand new Spectricline of LED strip lights will massively improve your lighting experience. These strip lights bring more vivid lighting, with a greater lumens to energy expenditure ratio than ever before. The life expectancy has been increased, with a whopping 50,000 hours of usage delivering a versatile light every single time.
Add Protection To Your LED Strips
Being as versatile as they are, internally and externally, all LED strip lights are available in a range of IP ratings (waterproofing) so they can be installed almost anywhere. A breakdown of these waterproofing options are listed in the table below:
Having no protection against water, IP20 LED strip lights are advised to be installed internally as they have no protection against water.
With a small silicone coating that is capable of withstanding splashes and jets of water, IP65 LED strip lights are advised for internal installation in bathrooms or externally where water can't easily access them.
Surrounded by silicone, the IP67 LED strips are designed to be installed externally in garden feature and external displays.
Being the most resistant to water, the IP68 comes encased in silicone and the IP68 Nano has a layer of hydrophobic silicone. This makes the strip lights highly workable compared to standard IP68. Both can be submersed to depths of up to 10m. This makes them highly usable in bespoke places such as swimming pools.
Due to the silicone coating on them, IP65, IP67 and IP68 strip light are available in lengths of up to 5 metres. As the IP20 doesn't have any coating and the IP68 Nano has a extremely thin layer of hydrophobic silicone, they are available in lengths of up to 10 metres.
All LED Strip Lights are charged by the metre however, so when you're ordering your tape, you will need to specify the length you require, rounding up to the nearest metre.
These products come with RGB LEDs that can mix varying amount of Red, Green and Blue to achieve a spectrum of 16 colours including cool white. Our power supplies do not have the function to control colour so you will also need to purchase a RGB controller.
We sport a full range of controllers that can have either an Infrared or Radio Frequency receiver. The infrared controller requires a direct line of sight from the controller to change the colour and modes whereas the Radio Frequency controller does not require this direct line of sight and needs no directional input. These styles are the most used for domestic installation.
For large commercial installations we strongly recomend using zonal controllers combined with our DMX system, which offers significantly increased load capacity. These controllers function very similar to the more domestically used controllers but far surpass their maximum loads.
All of our controllers have a variety of options such as colour changing, mode setting and mode speeds.
These strip lights can be dimmed, however you will need to dim them from controller meaning you shouldn't purchase any of our dimmable LED drivers as the controller will then not operate.
Our power supplies have varying maximum loads to accommodate a whole multitude of lengths of strip. Our controllers have maximum loads starting from 72 watts so please factor this in when buying strip lights. Below is a list of notable lengths and their wattages in 14.4w/m RGB LED strips:
■ 1 Metre - 14.4 Watts;
■ 3 metres - 43.2 Watts;
■ 5 metres - 72 Watts;
■ 10 metres - 144 Watts;
■ 15 Metres - 216 Watts.
With such products it is advised that you run about 10% under the maximum load of the power supply so it can manage its heat better, runs more efficiently which then maximises it's lifespan.
Amplifying The Life Of The LED Strips And Providing A Cleaner Look
LED strip lights come with an expected lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which is nearly 15 years! This lifespan can fluctuate depending on the conditions which the strip lights are installed. In the table below, there are the three main conditions that affect the lifespan of the strip lights:
Cool air temperature surrounds the LED strips and/or has good ventilation.
Air around the LED strip is warm and does provide good ventilation.
Use IP Ratings when only necessary.
Use of IP Rating when unnecessary e.g. IP65 in where there no chance of water.
Having the strips mounted on a surface which can dissipate heat very effectively (e.g aluminium).
Strips that are mounted onto a surface which dissipate heat poorly (e.g. wood).
If all three of the favourable conditions are met, you can look at up to a 50% longer lifespan of 75,000 hours!
Helping with this extension, we sell aluminium profiles that are very effective at dissipating heat and in turn increasing the lifespan. On top of this life span extension, the aluminium profiles come with the option of having a clear or frosted diffuser to complete the full look.
IP65 LED strip lights that are mounted onto a surface that isn't an effective dissipater of heat, then they are not covered by any form of warranty. Replacements for these will then be charged at 50% of the retail price when purchased with aluminium profiles.
