ReadyLED 18W Fitted LED Downlight 1500 Lumens, Standard (Tilt) Description

They don’t come much easier than the 18W Standard Tilt Fitted LED Downlight.

Built by Mirrorstone, it’s an all-in-one light fitting with everything you need included in the unit – that’s a driver and bulbs – so there’s no need to buy any of them separately.

Once you have the 130mm cutting hole for it to go in, the 18 separate diodes shine with an incredible 1500 lumens – far outperforming most standard spotlights or bulbs.

It does this whilst consuming just 18W of power – an equivalent halogen would sap a whopping 120W to provide the same amount of light. That’s over 6 and a half times the electricity!

That’s not all either, as it has an estimated lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. If you have an average daily use of 8 hours for example, it means this fitted downlight will give you well in excess of 15 years of life – making it incredible value for money.

The narrow 45o beam angle makes it perfect for feature and accent lighting, opening up the possibility for use in commercial areas too.

ReadyLED

The ReadyLED range of downlights has had a new facelift, with efficiency being the focus. They have a new heat sink, with higher quality materials being used to dissipate heat at a quicker rate than ever before. The actual lights inside manage to generate even more light from the same low energy usage, ensuring a more eco-friendly fitting.

Optionally Even Better

There are a couple of features on this 18W tilt downlight that you can tweak to cater it exactly to your needs.

One of these options is if you would like dimmable bulbs – allowing you to alter the brightness.

If you do want dimmable light, you will need to use a trailing edge dimmer for this, as leading edge dimmers aren’t guaranteed to work and could even damage the LEDs too.

The other choice you’ll have is what shade you would like your bulbs to shine with. The warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K) options fall into what is known as colour temperatures – a measure of the perceived warmth of the light given off, hence the name.

It’s measured in Kelvins, with each choice having its own benefits.

Warm white creates a cosy environment, and appears really similar to the shade emitted by traditional halogens. We would recommend this for areas that need to feel comfortable like the living area or bedroom.

Cool white helps build a slightly more clinical feel, and shines considerably brighter than warm white with an icier shade. This is much better suited for places where you might need to concentrate such as the office or the kitchen.

If the area you’re thinking of using this 18W downlight is relatively small, then 1500 lumens may be a little excessive. Don’t worry, as we have a great alternative.

Our 12W Standard Tilt Fitted LED Downlight is slightly lower in terms of overall performance, shining with a maximum of 1000 lumens. As you would expect, it’s easier on power too – consuming just 12W.

This is a better option if you’re looking at smaller rooms. For any other requirements, please have a browse of our whole range of fitted LED downlight where you can find IP65 fire rated, high power like the one in question, Cobs and frosted downlights.

Spend Less With LED Lights

There are many reasons to start using LED lights, and ditch your halogens and fluorescents. There are also loads of reasons to shop with us too – all of them involve saving money which is never a bad thing right?

When you buy our fitted downlight, you could save up to 20% off the price straightaway using one of our discount and promotional codes that we run through the year. Keep checking back to make sure you’re getting the best offers.

We also have a multi-buy discount available on this downlight too – buy 5 or more units to get a special price, giving you further savings.

Once you have your downlight installed, it will continue to save you money because of the technology inside of it.

We already mentioned that LEDs have considerably longer lifespans than halogen or fluorescent bulbs. Already, this means you spend less on replacements lights.

The reason why they have such long lifespans is due to their energy efficiency.

LEDs only lose around 10% of their energy to heat wastage, compared to incandescent bulbs that lose up to 80%. This tenfold difference in efficiency results in less wear and tear, allowing them to shine for longer.

Of course this also means that LEDs use less energy overall – saving you even more money on your electricity bills.

How Is Your Purchase Protected?

We have a 28 day home trial period in place for any returns or exchanges that you might need to make. You just need to ensure that the product is in a re-sellable condition with all the original contents.

Mirrorstone themselves also provide you with a 2 year replacement warranty on this 18W fitted downlight too, protecting it from any potential faults that may arise over time with use.
