LED lamps with mains voltage (240V AC) G9 fittings are a direct replacement for your existing incandescent G9s. Will retrofit into your existing G9 fittings while there is no need for a separate LED driver.

Check out the video below to learn more about the differences between the G9 and the other fittings available:

They are available in two colour temperatures: warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K).

How To Choose Your G9 LED Bulbs

Finding the right G9 LED really isn't that difficult and we have gone that extra length to make it easier by providing you with all the information you need below.

The first thing to check is that you actually need a G9 bulb. It may sound silly, but this is the first stumbling block for many customers. After all, if you buy a bulb with the incorrect fitting it won't be any use to you. Thankfully, we offer a 28 day return, so even if you do buy the wrong bulb, you can return it for exchange.

The simplest way to confirm is to check the bulb you're replacing. Usually the fitting code is printed on the bulb itself, or on the packaging, if you kept it.

If it is a G9 you're after you want to make sure it is bright enough. Traditionally we judge the brightness of a bulb based on its wattage - the higher the watts, the brighter the bulb, and vice versa.

Unfortunately this doesn't work with LED bulbs. Firstly, they run 90% efficient compared to older incandescent bulbs, which means their wattage is a lot lower. This doesn't mean they aren't very bright, they just use a lot less energy. Therefore, making a comparison between the two types of lighting is quite difficult.

Rather than comparing the wattage you need to look at the equivalent wattage. For example, a 6W LED bulb may have an equivalent wattage of 60W. This means it has a light output equivalent to a 60W incandescent. You could also look at the lumens. Lumens are a direct measurement of light emitted. The higher the lumens, the brighter the bulb. Simple!

Finally, look at the colour temperature. This is a fairly new concept in lighting. The colour temperature refers to the colour of the light and not, as many wrongly assume, the temperature of the bulb.

Like most of our Mirrorstone LED light bulbs, our G9s come in two colours: warm white and cool white. If you are unsure which you need speak to our customer service team or check out our handy colour temperature guide.
